Last year, Murrumbidgee Local Health District produced a new booklet for people visiting an Emergency Department for assistance with mental health, drug or alcohol issues. It was created with a group of people with lived and caring experience, with assistance from the members of our Lived Experience Network.

The booklet aims to help people, and those supporting them, to understand how Emergency Department processes work and what to expect from their care.

The booklet is available from all Emergency Departments in Murrumbidgee Local Health District and from the Mental Health Emergency Consultation Service (MHECS).
