In Murrumbidgee Local Health District, Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol services we believe that people with lived experience of mental health, drug or alcohol issues, and those who support a loved one with this experience have unique and important views to share.

We have created the MHDA Experiences site to give people in the Murrumbidgee region the opportunity to share their experiences, ideas and feedback with us.

Your suggestions and stories will help guide and inform key projects and creation of new Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol services across the region and in your local community.

By taking part and contributing to projects on this website, you will help make mental health, drug and alcohol services better for the people who need them.

Thank you for visiting and we look forward to your involvement.

A message from our Director, Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol services

"Our mission at Murrumbidgee Local Health District Mental Health Drug and Alcohol services is to offer hopeful, timely, effective and safe interventions that recognise diversity and are informed by lived experience.

Learning and valuing the wisdom drawn from lived and carer experiences of mental health, drug and alcohol issues is at the foundation of how we develop and improve our services and the care that we deliver.

We hope that this new participation space will give everyone in the Murrumbidgee community the opportunity to share their feedback, ideas and stories with us. We promise to listen to the contributions of participants in this space and are grateful for the generosity and courage that is shown by all those who take the time to contribute.

Thank you for giving your time and sharing your insights with us. It is you who can tell us how to deliver better services for our communities."
