Murrumbidgee Local Health District has produced a new booklet for people who are supporting a young person who is having thoughts of suicide. It was created in consultation with people with caring experience.
The booklet aims to help parents and carers to understand what a young person may be experiencing, how to talk about suicidal thoughts and how to help keep a young person safe.
The booklet is available from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Emergency Departments in Murrumbidgee Local Health District; including from the Mental Health Emergency Consultation Service (MHECS) and Safeguards service.
